About HTML to PDF

This tool lets you convert HTML to PDF online for free. Open an .html file or paste HTML code, and you get a PDF with real text you can select and search. It is not a screenshot. Page breaks fall between lines, not through them.

It suits developers, writers and anyone who keeps notes, receipts or reports as HTML. For safety, scripts, forms and frames are removed before display, and JavaScript does not run. Images built into the file are always included. Linked web images load only if you turn on Load web images.

Say a developer has an HTML invoice template filled in for a client. He pastes the code, checks the preview at A4 width, and clicks Convert to PDF to get a file he can email. Conversion happens in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.

How to use HTML to PDF

  1. Drop an .html file on the page, click Choose file, or paste code and click Use this HTML.
  2. Check the preview. It is laid out at your PDF page width.
  3. Choose a Page size (A4, Letter, Legal or A3), an Orientation (Portrait or Landscape) and Margins (None, Small, Normal or Wide).
  4. Turn on Load web images if your HTML links to pictures online.
  5. Click Convert to PDF and download the result. Click New file to start again.

Real text

Text stays selectable and searchable, not a screenshot.

Safe by design

Scripts, forms and frames are removed before the page is shown, and web images load only if you allow them.

Private by design

Converted in your browser; your HTML is never uploaded.

Clean page breaks

Pages break between lines, never through the middle of text.

Example

Input: pasted HTML for an invoice with a logo linked from the web.

You click Use this HTML, pick A4 and Normal margins, and turn on Load web images.

You click Convert to PDF.

Result: a PDF invoice with the logo and selectable text.

FAQ

HTML to PDF: questions people ask

Is my file uploaded?

No. Conversion happens in your browser. Even with Load web images on, your HTML stays on your device.

Can I convert a website by its address?

Not directly, because browsers block one site from reading another. Save the page as HTML (Ctrl+S) and open that file.

Does JavaScript run?

No. Pages built mainly with JavaScript may appear empty.

Are images included?

Images built into the file are always included. Linked web images need the Load web images option.
