About this course

What you'll learn, in plain words.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is software that can understand language, write, answer questions, create pictures and spot patterns in information. Tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini put this power in everyone's hands, but most people only scratch the surface, or don't trust what they get back.

In this course you learn how AI works in plain words, how to give it clear instructions (called prompts), how to check its answers, and how to use it for real tasks: writing, research, planning, learning, images, documents and small automations. By the end you will have your own set of AI helpers for work and daily life, and the judgement to use them safely.

Course modules

8 weeks, step by step.

One module a week, two live classes each. Every week ends with a hands-on task.

  1. WEEK 1

    What AI really is

Clear the confusion. Learn what AI, machine learning and large language models are, using everyday examples, not maths.

    • AI, machine learning and generative AI explained simply
    • How chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini produce answers
    • What AI does well, what it does badly, and why it sometimes makes things up
    • Setting up your free accounts and a safe workspace

HANDS-ON Ask three different AI tools the same five questions and compare the answers in a simple table.

  2. WEEK 2

    Talking to AI: prompting basics

The single most useful AI skill. Learn a simple formula for prompts that get great results.

    • The parts of a good prompt: role, task, context, format and examples
    • Asking follow-up questions and improving an answer step by step
    • Giving AI your own documents, notes and examples to work from
    • Saving your best prompts as reusable templates

HANDS-ON Rewrite five weak prompts into strong ones and measure how much better the answers get.

  3. WEEK 3

    Writing and communication with AI

Use AI as a writing partner without sounding like a robot.

    • Drafting emails, messages, posts and reports in your own voice
    • Summarising long documents, articles and meeting notes
    • Translating and adjusting tone for different readers
    • Editing AI drafts so they are accurate and sound human

HANDS-ON Turn a long article into a one-page summary, a short email and a social media post.

  4. WEEK 4

    Research, learning and fact-checking

Find information fast and know when to trust it.

    • Research with AI search tools such as Perplexity and Gemini
    • Asking for sources and checking them yourself
    • Spotting made-up facts (hallucinations) and bias
    • Using AI as a personal tutor to learn any new topic

HANDS-ON Research a topic of your choice, then fact-check every claim in the AI's answer.

  5. WEEK 5

    Images, presentations and creative work

Create visuals with AI, even if you have never designed anything.

    • How AI image tools work and how to describe the picture you want
    • Making social posts, thumbnails and simple graphics
    • Building a presentation quickly with AI help
    • Copyright, honesty and when not to use AI images

HANDS-ON Design a small set of images and a 5-slide presentation for a real or made-up event.

  6. WEEK 6

AI for spreadsheets, documents and everyday work

Bring AI into the tools you already use every day.

    • AI inside Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (Gemini and Copilot)
    • Using AI to write spreadsheet formulas and explain data
    • Reading PDFs and long files with tools like NotebookLM
    • Planning your week, projects and to-do lists with AI

HANDS-ON Clean up and analyse a small spreadsheet with AI, then write a short report on what it shows.

  7. WEEK 7

Your own AI assistants and simple automations

Go beyond chatting: build helpers that remember your instructions and do repeat jobs.

    • Custom assistants (Custom GPTs, Claude Projects and Gemini Gems) for your tasks
    • What AI agents are, in simple words
    • No-code automation basics with Zapier or Make
    • Connecting a form, an AI step and an email into one workflow

HANDS-ON Build a personal assistant for one task you do every week, plus one small automation.

  8. WEEK 8

Safe, responsible AI and your final project

Use AI with confidence and finish with something you can show.

    • Privacy: what never to paste into an AI tool
    • Workplace rules, honesty and giving credit
    • Keeping up as tools change: a simple habit
    • Final project presentations and mentor feedback

HANDS-ON Present your final project: an AI toolkit that saves you at least 3 hours a week.

FAQ

Artificial Intelligence (AI): questions people ask

Do I need to know coding or maths?

No. Every course starts from zero and explains each idea in plain language. Where code appears, we explain it line by line, and the AI writes most of it for you.

Which AI tools do I need to buy?

None to start. We use the free versions of tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot. If a paid plan would really help you later, we tell you why and you decide.

Are classes live or recorded?

Live online classes with a mentor, so you can ask questions as you go. Every class is also recorded, so you can catch up or revise.

How much time do I need each week?

About 5 to 6 hours: two 90-minute classes plus 2 to 3 hours for the weekly task.

What if AI tools change during the course?

They will, and that is part of the plan. We teach the skills behind the tools (clear instructions, checking answers, building workflows), so you can switch to any new tool with confidence.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, an Omebly certificate of completion that lists the projects you built.

Is my data safe when I use AI tools?

We teach you what not to paste into AI tools, how to turn off training on your chats where possible, and how to follow your company's rules.

When does the next batch start?

We run small batches so everyone gets attention. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you the next start date and check that the course fits you.
