About this course

What you'll learn, in plain words.

Animation used to mean months of learning to model, rig and keyframe by hand. Today, AI agents can drive Blender for you: you describe a scene in plain words, and the AI writes and runs the steps in Blender while other AI tools make the 3D characters, the movement and the sound.

In this course you build a complete AI animation pipeline, end to end. You will learn how AI agents connect to Blender, how one AI hands work to another (a 3D model generator for characters and props, a motion generator for movement, and audio AIs for voices, effects and music), and how to train your own small AI model on your animation style. Your job becomes directing and reviewing; the AI does the hands-on work. You finish with a short animated film made this way, and a pipeline you can reuse for every project.

Who it's for

Who this course is made for.

Beginners who want to make 3D animation without years of manual practice

Animators and designers who want AI to do the slow, repetitive work

Content creators who need short animated videos, reels and explainers

Developers curious about AI agents that control creative software

By the end

What you'll be able to do.

Every skill is practised in class and in a weekly task your mentor reviews.

  • Explain how AI agents control Blender, and set up an AI-to-Blender connection
  • Direct an AI to build scenes, cameras, lights and materials in Blender from plain-language instructions
  • Have one AI call other AIs to generate 3D characters, props and environments
  • Rig and animate characters with AI auto-rigging and AI-generated motion
  • Add AI voices, sound effects and music, timed to the animation
  • Train a small custom AI model on your own style and use it in your pipeline
  • Run a full AI animation pipeline from script to rendered video, and check its quality
Course modules

8 weeks, step by step.

One module a week, two live classes each. Every week ends with a hands-on task.

  1. WEEK 1

    How AI animation works

See the whole pipeline before you build it: which AI does what, and how they pass work to each other.

    • The AI animation pipeline: script, models, rig, motion, sound, render
    • AI agents explained simply: an AI that plans, uses tools and checks its work
    • Blender basics you need to read what the AI is doing
    • Setting up Blender, an AI assistant and a free cloud GPU account of your own

HANDS-ON Ask an AI to plan a 15-second animated scene and list which AI tool handles each step.

  2. WEEK 2

    AI that drives Blender

Connect an AI agent to Blender so it builds and changes scenes from your instructions.

    • Connecting an AI assistant to Blender (Blender MCP and Python scripting)
    • Describing a scene and letting the AI build it: objects, cameras and lights
    • AI-made materials, colours and lighting moods
    • Reviewing and correcting the AI's work with follow-up instructions

HANDS-ON Have the AI build a complete room or street scene in Blender, without touching the modelling tools.

  3. WEEK 3

    AI-made characters and 3D models

Let one AI ask another to create the characters, props and places your story needs.

    • Text-to-3D and image-to-3D generators for characters and props
    • Designing a character sheet with an image AI, then turning it into a 3D model
    • An AI agent that requests models from a 3D generator and imports them into Blender
    • Cleaning and optimising AI models automatically

HANDS-ON Generate a main character, two props and a background set, all placed into your scene by the AI.

  4. WEEK 4

    AI rigging and motion

Make characters move with AI: automatic rigs and motion generated from text or video.

    • AI auto-rigging: adding a skeleton without manual weight painting
    • Text-to-motion: generating walks, gestures and actions from a description
    • Video-to-motion: turning a reference video into animation
    • An AI agent that applies, blends and loops motion in Blender

HANDS-ON Animate your character walking in, waving and sitting down, using only AI-generated motion.

  5. WEEK 5

Train your own AI model for animation

Teach an AI your style, so every new character and shot looks like it belongs to your project.

    • How training and fine-tuning work, in plain words
    • Preparing a small, clean dataset of your images or motions
    • Fine-tuning a style model (LoRA) for consistent characters and frames
    • Fine-tuning a motion model on example clips, and testing the results

HANDS-ON Train a small style model on a free cloud GPU and use it to create three matching characters.

  6. WEEK 6

AI voices, sound effects and music

Give your animation sound, made and timed by AI.

    • AI voices for characters and narration
    • AI sound effects that match the action on screen
    • AI music for mood, length and pace
    • Automatic lip-sync and syncing sound to the animation

HANDS-ON Add a voiced line, three sound effects and a music track to your scene, all generated and timed by AI.

  7. WEEK 7

The multi-AI pipeline: one AI directing the others

Put it all together: a director AI that runs every step and hands work between the other AIs.

    • From script to shot list with a director AI
    • Chaining the tools: models, rig, motion, sound and render in one workflow
    • Automatic rendering and simple editing of the final video
    • Quality checks, retries and keeping costs and GPU time under control

HANDS-ON Run the full pipeline on a new 20-second idea, from one written brief to a rendered video.

  8. WEEK 8

    Rights, safety and final film

Use AI animation responsibly, then present your finished short film.

    • Licences and commercial use of AI-made models, motion, voices and music
    • Voice and likeness consent, and labelling AI-made work
    • Building a portfolio and a reel from your AI animation
    • Final film screening and mentor feedback

HANDS-ON Present a 30 to 60 second animated short made with your AI pipeline.

FAQ

Animation Design with AI: questions people ask

Do I need to know coding or maths?

No. Every course starts from zero and explains each idea in plain language. Where code appears, we explain it line by line, and the AI writes most of it for you.

Which AI tools do I need to buy?

None. The course fee does not include any AI tool subscription, and Omebly does not provide one. You use your own accounts on the free plans that tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot offer, and those are enough for the whole course. If you ever choose a paid plan, you buy it yourself from the tool's maker.

Are classes live or recorded?

Live online classes with a mentor, so you can ask questions as you go. Every class is also recorded, so you can catch up or revise.

How much time do I need each week?

About 5 to 6 hours: two 90-minute classes plus 2 to 3 hours for the weekly task.

What if AI tools change during the course?

They will, and that is part of the plan. We teach the skills behind the tools (clear instructions, checking answers, building workflows), so you can switch to any new tool with confidence.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, an Omebly certificate of completion that lists the projects you built.

Is my data safe when I use AI tools?

We teach you what not to paste into AI tools, how to turn off training on your chats where possible, and how to follow your company's rules.

When does the next batch start?

We run small batches so everyone gets attention. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you the next start date and check that the course fits you.

Do I need to model or animate by hand?

No. The course is built so AI does the hands-on work: an AI agent drives Blender, and other AIs make the models, motion and sound. You learn to direct, review and fix the AI's output with instructions, which is the real skill.

Do I need a powerful computer?

Blender runs on most modern computers. For training your own model and heavy rendering we use the free tier of cloud GPU services such as Google Colab, on your own account, so an expensive graphics card is not required. Paid cloud plans are optional and not included.

Can I use the animation commercially?

Often yes, but it depends on each AI tool's licence. Week 8 covers how to check licences for models, motion, voices and music before you use them for clients.
